Historic downtown Natichotches is only a ten minute drive away, but taking your boat right off the dock in the back yard can be a fun experience. The boat launch is located less than a half a mile from the driveway with dockside fuel pumps and ten minutes by boat from the house. The back porch is the length of the home, with plenty of seating, tables, a swing, and a flat screen tv. It also has a grilling station with plenty of counter space and can be used as a bar area. Fishing poles and tackle are available if you want to catch some right off the dock. The kitchen has everything from toasters, waffle iron, crock pots, pots, pans, etc, including dinnerware, silverware, and utensils to accommodate a family of 12. Trash bags, dish-washing liquid, if needed, is under the sink. The pantry is very large so don’t worry about space for food or drinks, or extra storage. Next to it is the laundry room with washer, dryer, ironing board and laundry baskets . The game room is separated from the living area by wooden glass pane sliding doors. It’s nice for keeping an eye on the kiddos and minimize noise while they enjoy it. It’s also perfect for the adults to feel like they re having a night out without leaving the house. Smoking is allowed outside on the porches only. We have off street parking for up to 6 vehicles. 2 Flat Screen TV with Roku & Netflix - we do not have cable or local channels. If there is a electrical power surge in the neighborhood the on demand hot water heater may trip off - the solution -the reset button on the on-demand water heater has to be pushed off and count to 10 then turn it back on.. Kitchen with gourmet 6 burner gas commercial stove and refrigerator with ice and water in the door. Children are welcome and must be under adult supervision at all times. Bring flashlights to walk to the river bank in the evening. When possible please hang up your towels and use again to lessen our environmental footprint. If you have muddy shoes please take them off before entering the home. When you leave -kindly load the dishwasher and turn it on, pull your sheets off the beds and gather your towels and leave in the laundry bin near the back door. Please dump all garbage containers in the bins outside on the driveway. Please clean up after yourself. Please load dishwasher and turn it on when you depart. The kitchen has basic pots and pans , coffee maker, toaster, microwave, dishes , etc. You are most welcome to use the kitchen but please clean it up after you finish. Please do not flush anything (feminine hygiene products etc) but toilet tissue in the toilet. Please use the tub mats to prevent slips and falls. We appreciate you observing quiet time between 10 PM and 8 AM as we have elderly neighbors. Please note the cottage house on the back of the property is not included in the rental. It is very close to the bus route. Otherwise, you will need a car to get around; Personal or Rental/Ride share (Über).  You can also order food using UberEats & DoorDash We are located in a very old area of town. As such, there are some not well maintained houses in the neighborhood. However, we have other locations, and guests in that area, lots of cameras, and a solid security system, which you would probably never need.
